*Note: Open dawn to dusk. Contact station hours may vary. Addison Oaks is a 1,140-acre natural oasis close to home where visitors can recreate for the day, camp under the stars or explore the park’s rich history. Campers can stay on individual sites or in group camping areas, yurts or cabins. Activities include a 20+ mile trail system for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking and winter fat tire biking; boat/kayak and bike rentals, 18-hole disc golf course, fishing, geocaching, picnicking and group picnic shelters. A 2.5-mile connector trail connects the main park to Addison Oaks-East and other nearby recreation areas. The Historic Tudor-style Buhl Estate hosts weddings, banquets, receptions and business meetings.

we were told if it was street legal you could use them. my golf cart is street legal with liability insurance and because it didn't have a license plate we could not ride it. we were told that street legal meant it had to have a license plate. I investigated how to get a license plate for a golf cart and you must have it inspected by a police officer and then you get a temporary plate to take to the secretary of state. then the secretary of state has it inspected and issues a vin# so you can get a license plate......I believe the term it would be plated as a "low speed roadsters. however, the golf carts the park uses does not have plates on them. I was told that the board of directors made the rule that visitors golf carts must have plates. the reason for this as I was told by the supervisor of the county parks is that if an employee is abusing the privilege of riding the golf cart, they could be fired whereas a visitor riding one, there were no available repercussions. Way to complicated to bother with and feel like there would be available ways for repercussions if their visitors were abusing the policy! such as removing them from the campground!
