A very worthwhile place to visit. The guide we had whose name I think was Alice was absolutely excellent. It's a very interesting way to spend an hour or so.johnire01的完整评论

This is a fantastic example of the history of the local area. The mill offers an insight in the cultivation, production & use of corn & flat, both key aspects of local life in the 19th & 20th century…jjwmckeown的完整评论

Newmills Heritage site will be open in 2020 from the Thursday before the UK holiday at the end of May until the last Wednesday in September. During this open season it is possible to visit the mills and even have a guided tour but as such no milling will be taking place. The mills are fully restored, but as museums they demonstrate some machinery working in each mill but no actual production.
My Husband and i visited last year and George would be interested to go back and see the thrashing we were told about Maybe you could let me know the date of that. we enjoyed the visit and the tour. Beth
