Loved dolphin quest in Bermuda! The trainers were great. The dolphins were friendly. The best was when Brianna, let me feed Caliban and pet her. Truly amazing experience and pictures were awesome. Karin W的完整评论
Can I book my family of five separate from the cruise ship for a more personal experience? We are great swimmers and would love the maximal amount of time with dolphins.

While I'm sure you love animals and did not intend on harming them, any form of captivity and any captive 'swimming' with strangers (there's not much actual swimming involved at all - basically you get to pet them while they do tricks) is a deeply harmful exploitation of the world's most intelligent non-humans. It is possible to swim with WILD dolphins- a 1000% different experience. When dolphins are stolen from their families in the wild, often they are all killed in the process of capturing one or two for sale to aquariums. Wild dolphins have a natural lifespan of up to 70 years - captive dolphins can expect a 12 - 20 year life tops. They are deprived of food so they will be more responsive to their trainers, and trained to interact with tourists, so while they don't look forced to play with you - they are. They are stressed and unhappy and suffer physical ailments that are caused by stress, like chronic painful ulcers. Very often these dolphins are drugged up with valium and other anti-psychotic drugs when they develop neurotic, stressed, and disturbing behaviors never recorded in the wild. Also, Dolphins should never be in chlorinated water - it stings their eyes, and eventually, over a lifetime, can cause blindness. There are many reputable organizations that are devoted to helping dolphins - all oppose ALL Swim-with-dolphins-programs. Check out some credible websites, like The Dodo.
Hi, travellerwithdogs. What would you like to know about this attraction? I am cruising from Boston to Bermuda in mid June, I have booked this as one of my excursions. I know the experience itself is going to be wonderful, I was wondering if you paid for the picture they took, if so was it worth the money, or should I have my friend get a picture and leave it at that? My friend is not doing the encounter, but is going in to the area to watch and take pics.

The area that you friend would be will not allow for good pictures. The most economical would be to bring your own camera and let them take a couple of pics for you. Their photographer doesn't do anything special.
