Hi! Can anybody tell me who owns Garh Palace fort in Bundi? Do you know who it was built for? Was it for a particular Maharajah? Also do you know roughly how many rooms it has? Thanks! Many thanks!

We visted recently and had a lovely afternoon in the palace; looking at the paintings and walking up to the fort. We just have one question we can't answer. When you first walk through the arch way into the courtyard there is a room to your left, it is full of bats. There were 3 men in there (bit unfriendly - seemed a bit miffed we walked in actually) they were working on some sort of paper records, and wrapping them in material. Is this some sort of records office? Seems an odd place to work.

I am planning to visit Bundi( just to see those beautiful paintings). I ( elderly person) with knee problem, like to know how steep is the journey to go 'Garh Palace'? Thanks for helping me. Please answer me as soon as possible, I am at the final stage of planning my trip.
