Our guide, Morris, was 5th generation Gullah. He did an excellent job weaving the history with his own experiences growing up on the island. He was funny too and held our attention for 2.5 hours.Cbbeam的完整评论
The child's age and perspective is the key. But I agree with Lorna P.....8-10 would be the starting age depending upon the child's curiosity and attention span.
We will be staying at the Hyatt Place Charleston, do you recommend we rent a car to get to your location? Also, from reading the reviews we really want the true historical tour, not the fluff can we request tour guides?

Hope this answer not too late! Recommend car rental or taxi to go to starting point. Tour led by older member of Gullah community on mini van bus. Excellent and no fluff.
