We bought tickets online and it worked out fine. I think it's always best to do that.

Is there enough for a fan of Klimt & Schiele and the Secession to visit the museum two or three times or is the building small enough that you can take it all in in one go? Can't find a floor plan on the site. Wondering if it's worth getting the annual ticket for multiple visits in a week. Does an annual ticket get you a discount in the gift shop?

One other thing. Schiele and Klimt are at the Vienna Museum and the Upper Belvedere. And if you like the Secession the Museum of Applied Art 2nd Floor is important.

You can book tickets for any day (except when it is closed on Tuesdays) or buy them at the ticket desk. It is not an extremely busy museum so there is no long line at the ticket desk.
