5k from the N end of Kapaʻa to the end of the paved path at the north end fd Paliku (AKA Donkey's) Beach. The paved path does extend further to the south, ending at Fuji Beach, in the middle of Kapaʻa, so in total probably about 10k of paved pathway along the sea front.

Kauai Cycle is the most professionall. They are at 821-2115. Coconut Coasters is very convenient, right on the path by the kapaa neighborhood center.

The bottom end of the trail is steps away from a number of restaurants or snack places. However when you get to the midpoint or the North end there is little but picnic areas.
