Our organization was started fifteen years ago immediately after Hurricane Katrina with the idea of creating the Katrina National Memorial Park & Museum that will commemorate the lives lost due to the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina of 2005. Our Mission is to build a structure as an educational tool to honor the 10,000 or more that perished in Hurricane Katrina. This structure will honor, remember and learn from the catastrophe and celebrate the strength of the survivors and those who came to help rebuild. Our vision is for the community to see, experience and understand what a LEED certified platinum facility looks like.
