The area is currently experiencing wildfires, so we couldn’t see much. The AQI is about 175, we wore masks to remain healthy and were pretty much the only ones on the butte.pipkinse的完整评论

Isnt a bad hike from the bottom. The last part is alongside the road, but should be safe. Took me about 30 minutes from the park area, with two bad knees. Bring plenty of water though.
It is located in East central Bend, right in middle of Bend. It's the volcano in the middle of town, can't miss it. Take Greenwood Ave. It's an awesome view and free.

I looked it up and went from that using my phone mapquest. Also right near it is a great Hampton inn on Descheutes river and brewery as well as the Old Mill District. You can drive or walk up Pilot Butte. Go to Shevlin Park too if you are staying in Bend and Mirror pond. Both great to do long or short beautiful hikes. Bend has a ton of great shops and restaurants and is close to Shevlin Falls as well. Look it all up ahead and plan a route. Good luck.
