Too far for Public Transit, nothing near that I am aware of. You will have to drive, or Uber. I must say that the Falls is OK, but, it is not really a big deal.

Are there any hikes around the falls that range from 1 to 3 miles long?

Yes, there is a hiking trail to the bottom of the fall. I have never use it, but there is a lower parking lot, too per their website.
