It depends on the age of the children, but I think it would be okay. Be aware that the trail is often slippery and muddy, and that there are two slippery stream crossings near the end near the falls. The water usually isn't deep, but you wouldn't want to slip and get hurt. The hike is a bit longer... 5 kilometers one way I think? And on the way to the falls its all up hills. So just be ready to take little breaks in the bamboo forest, and at the big tree if your kids are pretty young. (I'm not a parent myself but take my nephews on lots of adventures. they are 8 and 11 years old)
