Overall I like this Recreation Area--great trails, the Discovery Center is interesting. One thing I don't like are the cabins at Mill Lake. I stayed at one in June 2022 and was really disappointed.… michiganvisitor2017的完整评论

Staying in the yurt end of July. How are accommodations? Is there running water? Does it have a bathroom? I know there's no electricity, or kitchen. There will be 4 adults and 2 kids under five. Any tips?

Thanks! I'm deciding between cabins at Bruin Lake in Pinckney or Portage Lake in Waterloo. They're both cabins with electricity in modern campsites. The only difference I can really see on the websites is that Bruin lake in Pinckney has a boat launch and boat rental. I'm wondering if one has nicer scenery than the other (fall colours, view of the lake, etc.) and also if either of the campsites will be very crowded in October... we'd prefer less crowds. Thanks!
