Chilka is not suitable for tourists to stay. During night, security issues are there. un-availability of secured, modern hotels with standard facilities are absent in Satpada. Some small restaurant may claim for lodging facilities, but they should not be entertained. Satpada / Chilka is easily accessible from Puri and Bhubaneswar. Best way to visit by hiring a car for half day. Boat rides are available as "TeamOuting" has indicated above .Fooding is sometimes provided on board
