The site is wheelchair accessible, including the ramparts, the Army Museum, most ground-level exhibits and the washrooms. There is an elevator inside the fort to get onto the ramparts. It was worked on last year, but I believe everything is complete. You can contact Parks Canada for more info: 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783)

G;day Halifax travellers. The guard is changed on the hour and the noonday gun is fired on the dot. Both experiences we missed due to our very hasty bus tour. I looked up the citadel web site to glean this information. On a sunny day the views from the citadel are spectacular and it's easy to imagine how attractive this site must have been to the British troops. Take a camera.............
