The Huntington Beach Pier is a great spot to catch the sunset with plenty of food spots nearby. Enjoy good weather year-round. Surfers welcome.

It's ok first thing in the morning. I mean early as in 7:00 am early. You can find a parking spot fairly easy. Just remember to bring change with you as you will need it for the meters. …
It's ok first thing in the morning. I mean early as in 7:00 am early. You can find a parking spot fairly easy. Just remember to bring change with you as you will need it for the meters. After early morning hours and during the day, it gets a little crazy with the parking and is pretty crowded. You can drive around on the side streets and eventually find one. It just depends on where you're going as to where you can park. I'd recommend just a block over on 9th street, you can find parking most of the time on the residential streets and it is for free. The dog beach is located at the intersection of Goldenwest St. and Pacific Coast Hwy. It's one mile north of the pier. All dogs are welcome so be mindful of non-social dogs.
