EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (WMBB) – Eglin Air Force Base is investigating a 300-gallon fuel tank that dropped from the 96th Test Wing F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft on Tuesday morning.

Eglin AFB officials said a 300-gallon fuel tank dropped Tuesday around 11 a.m. from a 96th Test Wing F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft. The fuel tank landed near the base in a Niceville residential area.
