Cascade Heights has been known as a home to Black prominence and power in Atlanta. Several notable politicians, sports figures and celebrities have settled in there, but only in recent history.

The City of Atlanta celebrated the new Midtown bike lane barrier mural project along Piedmont Park on Tuesday. The long stretch of concrete barriers protects bicyclists and others who use the lanes.
