(PTI) The incident took place on December 22 at Achchavvana Colony, when an LPG cylinder exploded at the temple, leaving nine people severely injured. Among them, eight were Ayyappa devotees.

But, the arterial roads leading to the temple in the city often witness traffic snarls for longer distances as hundreds of vehicles carrying Ayyappa devotees thronging the city every day.
