South Africa-based mining company Exxaro Resources has announced the resignation of its CEO, Nombasa Tsengwa, two months after her suspension amid a governance probe, reported Bloomberg.

The CEO of South African coal miner Exxaro Resources , Nombasa Tsengwa, has resigned with immediate effect, the company said on Thursday, two months after she was suspended pending a governance probe.

South African coal mining company Exxaro Resources Ltd. has held talks with the owner of one of South Africa's largest manganese mines, Tshipi Borwa, in an effort to expand beyond the coal business.
