Hakkasan on Hanway Place, which was opened in 2001 by restauranteur Alan Yau, was the first Chinese restaurant to be given the star in the Guide and celebrated 20 years of recognition last year.
This swish Trafalgar Square Chinese is overseen by two alum of Hakkasan: suave restaurant director Alan Tang and chef Chee Hwee Tong, who won the original Hanway Place Hakkasan its Michelin star.
