Bird flu has been detected in a Georgia commercial poultry flock for the first time since a countrywide outbreak in 2022.
"This is about the time of year when we would expect to see an increase in COVID, flu, RSV, and also norovirus," said Robbie Goldstein, commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The threat of bird flu in humans remains low unless they are dealing closely with cattle, poultry or wild birds.
