Pheasant season begins with a junior hunt Oct. 12-19. The regular season is Oct. 26-Nov. 29, and the late seasons are Dec. 16-24, and Dec. 26-Feb. 28. The daily limit is two birds, male or female.

The zoo has two male Edwards's Pheasants, named Handsome Harry and Swansea Jack A critically endangered pheasant escaped from Plantasia Tropical Zoo in Swansea this week and had quite an adventure.
