Monday marks Pope Francis’ 10th day in the hospital, making this equal to the longest hospitalization of his papacy.

Pope Francis, in critical condition battling double pneumonia, had a "good" night in hospital, slept and is resting, the Vatican said on Monday. The pope was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital on February 14 after having trouble breathing for several days and subsequently had pneumonia diagnosed in both lungs.

Pope Francis was still in critical condition on the 10th day of his hospitalization for a complex lung infection, the Vatican said. It ties the longest of his papacy and has provoked the early stages of kidney failure.
