Authorities in Purnea, Bihar have ordered the demolition of an illegally constructed 60 feet-long bridge on Kari Koshi River. Real estate brokers built the bridge to increase prices of adjoining land.

A total of 3,453km was surveyed in UP, covering the mainstream Ganga and its tributaries, which included Chambal, Yamuna, Rapti, Sharda, Geruwa-Kauriala, Ghaghara, and part of the Gandak River.
