Just after noon Sunday, the mangled helicopter was raised from the bed of the reservoir, and was pulled by a Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office boat to a dock where a fleet of tow trucks picked it up and drove it away. Officials say the helicopter, which Campana called "Miss Bessie," had sunken partially into the soil under the water.

An avid fisherman tells ABC10 he was out fishing in the Modesto Reservoir when the helicopter caught his attention.
