This is one of those instances, as LG has revealed its new UltraGear GX9 monitors. One is the 45GX990A, a 5K2K resolution-toting screen with a bendable display that shifts from curved to flat with a simple pull.

LG’s latest pre-CES 2025 announcement finds the brand unveiling a trio of premium big-screen OLED gaming monitors — including the world’s first 5K2K-resolution model to support LG’s unique ‘bendable’ technology.

LG says the 45-inch monitor can go from completely flat to a 900R curve in seconds. The 900R means that at its biggest curve, the monitor is equal to the outside of a circle with a 90-centimeter radius. Basically, it'll make whatever you're viewing on it much more immersive than the standard flat-screen.

The LG 40WP95C-W UltraWide curved 5K monitor, featuring a 40-inch screen with 5120 x 2160 resolution and support for HDR10, is on sale from Walmart and Amazon.

The UltraGear 45GX990A from LG can go from a flatscreen to 900R curved monitor. It’s also huge and—likely—hugely expensive.

As is tradition, LG is announcing several of its new OLED monitors before CES 2025 kickoffs in earnest. The new UltraGear GX9 series all feature curved WOLED panels, webOS and an anti-glare, low reflection coating that should make them pleasant to look at wherever your desk is stationed.
