The model will come in two flavors, as we've already mentioned: full electric and a mild-hybrid. The electric models will arrive with an 800-volt architecture and the ability to charge from 10-80% in just 22 minutes on a DC fast charger with CLA 250+ models and offer up to 350 horsepower on the CLA 350 4Matic models.

Initially, Mercedes-Benz will offer the 268-horsepower CLA 250+ with rear-wheel drive and the performance-oriented 349-horsepower CLA 350 4MATIC with all-wheel drive. That’s far more potent than the 221-horsepower four-cylinder mild hybrid driveline offered for 2025.

Mercedes-Benz has officially introduced the all-new CLA, designed to represent an evolution in technology, luxury and efficiency. As the first vehicle in a new generation of Mercedes-Benz models, the CLA blends artificial intelligence, cutting-edge infotainment and a refined design.

Mercedes is also bucking the traditional method of introducing a new platform as an ICE vehicle and then wedging the design into an EV platform. Instead, the company is going “EV first,” launching the CLA as an EV first and then later as an internal combustion with a mild hybrid in 2026.
