Is it possible to produce 4K@120 CRT display? : r/hardware - Reddit
But there's no reason you couldn't drive a CRT with a DisplayPort cable and have a nice modern high-bandwidth DAC built into the CRT monitor itself. Or if you insisted on an analog input to the monitor, then you could use coaxial cables with BNC connectors as in studio monitors, because they have far more bandwidth than required for a 4K/120 ...

There are still a few factories making CRT TVs in China using old tooling but those are for cheap low end TVs as there is still a small demand for them in developing countries. It would require millions of dollars in R&D to develop a 4K CRT and tens of …
Just bought a new OLED + Retrotink 4k and now I want a CRT
Also don't like the idea of having to fix or maintain old aging hardware. I opted to instead for a brand new LG C3 OLED (very highly rated) + premium Sonos soundbar and a best-in-class Retrotink 4k scaler to emulate that classic CRT look. Coupled with a MiSTer outputting a clean HDMI signal, retro games look god tier.

2022年1月31日 · I heard CRTS Royale is one of the best but doesn't look so great on 1080p display unless you tweak some certain settings. What is the most realistic CRT shader, in your opinion?
I have a 4K tv at home that I do my retro games on and I have tried most of the CRT shader presets in retroarch and other emulators. None of them look right to me. All of them, to my eye, greatly exaggerate the effects that people remember CRT displays have, creating what I consider to be a mostly distorted and warped, hyper retro re-imagining ...
4k CRT Would you? : r/pcmasterrace - Reddit
But there was a CRT type of flat screen in development , but as I haven't heard anything of it in ages, I guess it didn't pan out as consumer tech. And btw. CRT's hz rate basically dropped as the resolution got higher. So at 4K the electron beam would need to scan the screen at blitzing speeds to get even 60hz...

2023年2月28日 · He has customized these specific shaders for so many systems in order to recreate individually how each of them looked on CRT. On top of that he has presets for 1080p, 1440p, 4K and OLED screens. Just take a look at his thread. I guarantee it'll blow your mind just how good he gets these games looking compared to CRT-Royale or Lottes.
