2021年6月28日 · I'm buying my first car around new years/February and I'm buying a new car. Nothing special just a Chevy Spark to commute in the city and travel with in the summer. My local used market doesn't have many manuals around and this just seems to be the more affordable way to drive the way I want.

Take a picture of the manufacturer sticker by the driver side by the door jam. you will need this information on the forms below. If the car was manufactured outside of US/Canada/Mexico you *might* have to pay duties on it.

2022年6月29日 · For importing the vehicle you need to make sure it has the DOT/EPA stickers. Sienna should be built in US or Canada so the vehicle is likely importable without issue, but if the Canadian vehicles don't have those sticker you have to get a letter from Toyota Canada saying that the vehicle met all the US standards at time of manufacture.

2021年6月13日 · Mmm I guess it depends where you live, in Canada the used car market is insane right now, buying new will cost you roughly the same price than a < 5 years old car when you calculate the financing. I was looking for a 2018-2020 corolla and with 6% financing it was around the same price than a brand new 2021 (at 1.5% finance).

In Canada the same car is $45,995 CAN, which is equivalent to $35,848 usd. That is a $10,000 savings I would very much like to capitalize on. So how difficult would it be for me to fly up to Canada and purchase this car from a dealer to drive it home and register it in Michigan?

2024年4月10日 · To get car insurance in Canada they want to see your last 10 years of insurance history. You will also need your DMV records for the last 10 years in the US. Sometimes that can take a while depending on the state so make sure you get that before you move.
