Today I put down the lesco pre emergent (19-0-7,) and I screwed up on the spreader settings like an idiot. The bag had a setting of 12 for the lesco spreader but I use a Scott’s spreader which should have been set to 6.

This is my first season putting down spring Pre Emergent, even though I treated a few homes last fall with Lesco brand Pre-Emergent. All the yards I treated in the fall look really good, no crab grass. Is Scotts really worth it, or should I stay with Lesco.

2005年12月7日 · IMHO, the Aug/Sep pre-emergent is one of the most important apps of the year when dealing with warm season turf. I manage 80% Bermuda, 10% Zoysia, and 10% Fescue. Couple of Centipedes as well. I do 7 applications per year on warm season turf. Most pre-emergent herbicides are costly products, so I go at a light rate in August.

2007年3月6日 · LESCO just sells the stuff. They are a great company, and they offer several types of pre-emergent hebicides. John Deere has recently purchased LESCO, and I will continue to give my business to them. Best prices + great customer service. "Nothing runs like a deere". The proof's in the pudding.

2008年4月10日 · I find the opposite. Every prill of the Lesco fertilizer has an SGN of 200 for their standard fertilizer. As far as dust, it has virtually none. My spreaders stay cleaner and spread more evenly with the consistent prill size. Anderson's is a nice fertilizer, but better than Lesco when it comes to the prill size and dust, I respectfully disagree.
