Usually when picking a good profile picture, find something that fits you as a person, or even a meme. I have my profile picture set to my dog. Everyone is different, so just Google something or use a picture you already have.

2021年6月7日 · Clicking a profile image in a conversation shows a narrow(?) version of the banner, whereas when viewed through the 'View Profile" option the banner is now wider. Also on mobile devices the viewport of the banner is of different aspect ratio. In short ig it cant be done given how discord implemented the feature as of now.

2018年10月6日 · I was curious if there is a maximum size for a picture to be (ex. 1920x1080; i know there is the 8mb cap) uploaded to Discord. I want to try and make a banner that wouldn't be stretched on any screen: nor would it be cut off because of the lack of width or height of a display.

2018年10月1日 · Not sure what you mean by "far away" - Discord can't edit your photos for you, though, so you'll want to crop your profile pictures to be square around the area you want to show. I usually go for 512x512 if I have the option, but the exact size doesn't really matter.

2023年4月11日 · I decided to change my profile picture today and Discord just destroyed the image quality, going back to my original pfp didn't work, it made the image worse than before too. I uploaded 2 images below, before saving (preview) and after saving (blurry mess). Tried on mobile, chrome and windows, no dice. Anyone having this problem?

Save at native res, as a png. Thats your best bet. Discord will compress it, but saving at top quality at final resolution will give it the least steps to the compression it desires. I can see you got a pixel shift misaligning your logo vertically too. That would also be avoided by saving at native res and not letting discord handle the resize.
