Colville National Forest - Emerald Lake - US Forest Service
Emerald lake is a small beautifully colored lake that is truly rustic and does not have any amenities. This lake is accessed by foot from the Trout Lake Trail Head by the Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 that intersects with the Emerald Lake trail and is just a short 4.8 mile hike.
Colville National Forest - Hoodoo Canyon #17 - US Forest Service
This 5 mile round trip trail crosses the south fork of Deadman Creek then climbs the ridge above. Views of the Kettle Range and the spectacular Hoodoo Canyon greet hikers. The trail then decends from the canyon ledge to Emerald Lake. This section is steep and recommended for experienced hikers.
Colville National Forest - Trout Lake - US Forest Service
Trout Lake is a narrow 8.0-acre lake that sits 3,000’ elevation. Take the 5.2-mile hike through Lily and Emerald Lake for outstanding views of Hoodoo Canyon. There is a primitive boat launch. In addition to fishing, visitors can camp, hike, and canoe.
Colville National Forest - Trout Lake Campground - US Forest Service
This small campground has private tent sites close to the lake with access to a fishing dock. There is a small boat launch and the lake is noncombustible motors only. The campground also hosts the Hoodoo Canyon Trail #17 Trail Head. This is a 4.7-mile hiking trail that also intersects the Emerald Lake #94 hiking trail.
Colville National Forest - Crescent Lake - US Forest Service
Crescent lake is a beautiful 21.6 acre, emerald green lake. This lake is located nine miles north of Metaline Falls, WA, and just one mile south of the Canadian border. Open season runs from the last Saturday in April through October 31. This lake receives annual plantings of rainbow trout.
Emerald Lake Picnic Area - US Forest Service
Located about six miles down the Halfmoon Road, Emerald Lake is a day use picnic and fishing area in a shady lodgepole pine forest. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout. This site is easily accessible during summer months and inaccessible during winter months.
Manti-La Sal National Forest - Emerald Lake - US Forest Service
Small 8.2 acre Lake located 1.0 miles down Emerald Lake Road off Skyline Drive. The Department of Wildlife Resources of Utah (DWR) stocks this lake with Rainbow Trout.
Bighorn National Forest - Shell Lakes #032 - US Forest Service
It brings hikers past Shell Lake and through Lake of the Rough. Final destination is Emerald Lake and the Edelman #025.
