Also, your Dilaudid and Zofran appear to be administered via IV infusions not IV pushes. An IV push is when the drug is manually "pushed" by the provider. 2022年1月7日 · Also, if it's just being used to clear the line and not for therapeutic purposes, it can't be charged. However, sodium chloride is also used for therapeutic purposes (e.g. to treat hyponatremia), and if that's the case, then you may code the IV push as a therapeutic infusion.

The problem I face is that our orders will state for example, Sodium Chloride (NS) 0.9% bolus 1,000ml Time:3Hours 28 Minutes Running Start 11/05/16 1025 to Running Stop 11/05/16 1353 Does 1,000 ml Route IV Site Right Arm. This order does not include the rate and that is where I am conflicted.
