Ash leaf macules are usually present at birth, and most commonly located on the trunk, but can also be found occasionally on the extremities and face.

2021年1月9日 · I know it may not be another ash leaf macule nor does this even necessarily indicate that she has TSC, but it seems unlikely it would be a different kind of hypo pigmentation (post-inflammatory, pityriasis alba). We don't think she has had any seizures, which we have been watching for since we saw the second hypopigmented macule.

2014年5月23日 · Hi. My son was diagnosed with TS at a year old. He will be 19 in September. He has ash leaf spots on his back and side and the bigger he gets, the bigger they get. I also have TS and have confetti spots all over my arms and my neck. The older I get, the more pronounced they get. :) These "hypopigmented macules" are the least of our issues.

2011年10月15日 · PVA, Ash leaf macules are hypopigmented areas or in other words.... white spots. Anytime you get a disruption in pigmentation you may get a mixture. In NF the CALs are the predominant feature but areas of hypopigmentation can and do occur though typically in small numbers. In TS the ash leaf macules are the hallmark diagnostic clue.

2012年5月26日 · This was based on the presence of several very visible ash leaf marks, as well as other knobby skin features. His MRI came back clear except for something called "peri ventricular white matter hyper intensity" which I was told may or may not be a feature of tsc, but definitely not the usual tubers associated with the disease.
