2020年1月1日 · Hello! If you are new then look on other 3D CAD programs. Other free programs are not easier, commercial are also often not easy. For me, FreeCAD is more user friendly and capable then the commercial CAD from my old employer. Greetings user

2013年4月2日 · True CAD software either use CSG (outdated) or boundary representation (B-Rep). All modern CAD software use B-Rep, and so does FreeCAD. OpenSCAD is popular in the 3D printing community, but it's a tool for programming-minded people - which I'm not. It can only export to .CSG (an open but non-standard file format) and .STL.

2023年12月11日 · Thus I made aircraft 3D model with FreeCAD and conducted CFD with OpenFOAM. I say, you can make aircrafts with FreeCAD, but it is more difficult than using other commercial CAD softwares. FreeCAD is a brilliant software as it is now, but I think that it still have a long way to go.

2021年6月17日 · The surface pro x at that time only ran 32 bit programs. With windows 11 it can run 64 bit Intel code but freecad still won't run. However, it can run Linux programs with a gui now. The arm64 linux version can be installed with apt-get install freecad. The graphics won't have full hardware acceleration until they releases wddm 3.0 compliant driver though.

2015年5月6日 · Yes, FreeCAD is intuitive for someone with prior CAD experience. However, for someone with experience even with 3D modeling software such as Maya, Blender, Google Sketchup, Second Life, etc., FreeCAD Draft workbench is entirely incomprehensible unless one has experience in another CAD program or are shown exactly what to do.
