2013年8月14日 · In volume IV of the Civil war Collectors Encyclopedia page 122 they show one similar made by E.M Boynton and stamped US and which they identify as a US medical dept. bone saw. Boynton according to the above book, made saws from 1869-87 so that negates the mention in the book of being used in the Civil war.

2013年4月22日 · Im not sure what you mean by "real current value" since the ones on E-bay are mostly common Civil War tokens. There are some CW tokens on E-bay being sold for over $1,500+ there really is no steady price too lot of these tokens that are not Sutlers so going by E-Bay really is not a good method too determine value.

2022年3月29日 · My understanding is that, although often said to be “Civil war era”, buttons with this backmark predate the war by at least 13 years. There were various iterations of the Robinson company of Attleborough, Massachusetts with different names, but the company name expressed as “R & W Robinson” was the backmark in use between 1834-c1848.
