I've tried changing the view to normal, freeze panes and split aren't turned on in the sheet I'm using, it might be on other tabs (there are 13 tabs). The drawing tools on OneNote are much more limited. You can either use a pen or a highlighter and there are only 52 colors to choose from. Is there a way to change back to the old drawing tools?

If you are referring to the Draw tab on the ribbon, note that it won't show up by default, unless you have a device with a touch screen. For other devices, you have to enable the Draw tab yourself in Word Options. Which version of Office are you running? For specific instructions, knowing your Word version and operating system may be crucial.
