2017年12月16日 · You have posted one photo of a 1975 with no mint mark & another photo of a 1975 with D mint mark. The "no mint mark" coin was minted in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia mint did not use the mint mark "P" until well after 1975. There was a "P" mint mark placed on the nickel during the WWII years but that is a different coin & story. :smile

2017年7月10日 · "SUPER RARE" in a numbers sense since the odds of that particular PMD occurring in that EXACT location on a 1975 Lincoln Cent has got to be about "10,000,000 to 1"! Other than that, it's prolly worth 1 cent.

2008年2月12日 · I have come across a 1975 silver penny given to me as change as a dime. It wouldn't work in a vending machine and when I took a closer look I seen it said one cent. The date is 1975 with a D below it. It seems to be in fair condition for a penny over 30 years old. It is a very shiny silver.

2003年9月29日 · I know that the Steel pennies weren't made in this year but I have a 1975 Silver Penny. I am almost 100% certain that it isn't mercury coated. It isn't greasy like those, also when it's dropped on metal it makes a very loud *ting* noise. When I dropped a normal copper penny it sounded like a stiff thud and didn't bounce much.

2020年5月6日 · First time post and new to coin collecting. Today while going through some penny rolls I located this penny. From it's appearance I believe it is possibly a 1975 penny printed on a dime planchet. The color of the coin is between the color of a penny and a dime, and the sides of the penny are smooth with no ridges like a dime has.

2010年6月14日 · The 66 reportedly made in 1975 were trial strikes, and both the 1974 ( 14 , 15?)and 1975 are subject to seizure by the Treasury still I do believe. The weight should be less than a gram with avg. about 0.934 gram.

2014年4月8日 · I had heard possibly that a private company may have gold-tinted a large batch of pennies in '74/'75, but have not come up with any results matching to my particular penny. It's stamped 1975 with a D mint mark, and I have pictures below showing the color difference of it between other pennies.
