2023年6月15日 · There's two or three out on the west side in the grass but I don't think they're abandoned.. Northwest regional in Roanoke Texas has a lot of planes that are rumored to be abandoned but most of the owners have passed away and they are owned by the kids or the airport manager has taken ownership in certain situations.

2017年1月14日 · There are other planes that fly there, but not many, and not often. Some planes I'm sure have never left their hangars in 2 years. Some planes at AXS had not left their hangars the entire time I was there from 2001-2012, either, a period of time when the airport was much more active, especially before 2008.

2021年2月19日 · The two main reasons aircraft remain "abandoned" is the current owner/estate is unknown or non-existent or the current owner/estate does not want to sell. If it was as "easy easy" as you state there wouldn't be a single abandoned aircraft anywhere as I know I would have bought 14+ of them over the past 35 years.

2017年1月14日 · After 15 years the brother of a former owner found it and went through a lot of trouble to get it legally declared abandoned and take ownership. On a side note, the plane at GPT is a Martin 4-0-4. There were about 6 more at HSA about 30 miles west of there.

2017年5月18日 · Maybe. Have seen some nice aircraft get picked up for a song. However, the main issue I found with public auction aircraft especially abandoned ones was chain of ownership issues. And given this 206 is deregistered adds even more levels to jump.

2006年3月6日 · I believe that certification requirements require that the planes we fly be able to climb with full flaps, at max gross weight, at sea level/standard day. In the real world, flying at max gross, with an engine approaching runout, at a 1000 foot MSL airport on a hot day, I wouldn't bet on a climb with full flaps. -Skip

2011年8月5日 · Adventures is a relative newcomber being something on the order of 15 years old or so. My only animosity towards them was that they got Dave Wartofsky to kick me out of my front row tiedown space so they could park their planes together and the fact that their dumbass flight instructors abandoned the aircraft blocking the pumps between lessons.

2013年3月17日 · FRG Echo ramp is controlled by the state, so cheaper than at one of the FBO's. it is nice over there. Alpha ramp is sort of the projects of the airport. Pavement is crap, plenty of old abandoned planes that haven't been touched in years. I do not know if that is controlled by sheltair or the state.
