Achillobator (/ ə ˌ k ɪ l ə ˈ b eɪ t ɔːr / ə-KIL-ə-BAY-tor; meaning "Achilles hero") is a genus of large dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period about 96 million to 89 million years ago in what is now the Bayan Shireh Formation of Mongolia.

Achillobator is a dromaeosaurid theropod dinosaur from the Upper Cretaceous period of what is now Mongolia. It lived about 90 million years ago. It was probably an active predator, hunting with the large sickle-shaped claw on the second toe of each foot.

Achillobator is a dinosaur that was discovered in Mongolia in 1989. Although it had been found in the late 1980s, it would be another 10 years until it was named by Mongolian paleontologist Altangerel Perle, and American paleontologists Jim Clark and Mark Norell.
