Keep in mind that you continue to lose hair that hasn't been transplanted, which needs to be of concern to all of the people in this chat. Ongoing maintained is required to hold onto existing hair and if your hair line is aggressively reseeding, you'll likely want to follow up with a second transplant, as I did, 5-10 years later.

To add detail I have had the crown and the hairline undertaken however here it can be seen that there are a few issues. Jan 19, 2022 · In my personal opinion, really bad idea… Minoxidil loses efficiency over time, and once you recede further which is almost guaranteed being a NW4 in your mid 20’s, you’d end up with a strip of hair and then gaps behind it and you’d be playing a life long game of catch up that in your situation your donor area probably wouldn’t support.

I’m not saying don’t get a hair transplant. I’m saying a lot of people are being overly aggressive and need to account for more hair loss. You can still get a hair transplant that looks good, but if you’re 26 you should be planning for a hairline that will fit you going forward not one that fits your as a 23 year old.
