2023年12月28日 · The bar jack is a classically almond-shaped silvery fish with greyish-blue tints to it. It looks like other jacks, but gets its name from the distinguishing dark bar that runs down its back and into its caudal fin (tail), usually accompanied by a bright blue stripe.

Bar Jacks got their name from the dark horizontal bar which runs along its back and down the lower tail. Bar Jacks can be taken with light spinning tackle and small jigs and shiny spoons. Preferred baits include live shrimp and small live baitfish. In general, Bar Jacks caught by anglers weigh between 5 and 10 pounds.
