I only had 2 top teeth that weren't black on the inside, and one of those was a crown. I ended up having all my teeth removed because the top ones weren't savable, and my bottom teeth were developing problems as well.

You should have your mouth evaluated by your dentist. The black could be decay or it could be tarter that is discoloring especially if you smoke.

The same happened to my mom after about a year on a Dementia med called Namenda. I was given this drug by my pain team in 2009 starting at a 30mg dose twice a day, leading upto the 140mg twice daily, I have now reduced the dose myself and I now take 30mg twice daily. Had 8 teeth taken from my bottom jaw too. Can tell you from my experience the worst pain from the whole experience was the numbing injections lol.
