Camera powers down shortly after being turned on is an indication of a faulty battery, faulty charger or bad battery connection. If the camera repeatedly dies after being powered on, the battery is not holding a charge or is not correctly connected.

Turn the power switch to < ON > to turn on the power again. If the instructions above do not solve the problem, please contact your nearest Canon Service Center. (*1)

There may be rare occurrences of error 70 or error 80, after which the camera functions can be recovered by turning the power off and on again, or by re-installing and reinserting the battery. The phenomenon described here refers to the frequent reoccurrence of error 70 or error 80.

2018年5月30日 · So my Canon 70D just somehow stopped working. I put in a full new battery and it doesnt turn on. The only thing it would do is the top small lcd screen that tells battery life and all the other info just keeps blinking on and off thats all it does. Does anyone know how i can fix this?

2023年4月2日 · Clean your contacts and check the small battery that saves the date/time. If it is dead the camera won't power on.
