2015年4月4日 · Flags and Colors of the U.S. Army. The Cavalry Guidon was a pennant shaped flag with two rows of circles in the canton. The U.S. Cavalry used guidons in the Civil War as well as the Plains Indian Wars later on.

1st Cavalry: There are two flags from the 1st Michigan Cavlary in the state colleciton. One is non-regulation. SC-118-90 - red over white swallowtail; SC-136-90 - regimental standard; 1st Michigan Cavalry Flag in Dearborn. The Dearborn Historical Musuem houses one of the national colors of the 1st Michigan Cavalry.
