Darth Vader's face with no mask is that of actor Sebastian Shaw, an English stage and screen actor who appeared in more than 40 TV and film productions. Shaw was not inside the Vader costume when the mask was on. He also appears as Anakin Skywalker's ghost in the original version of Return of the Jedi.
