2005年7月13日 · Does MS Excel have a maximum number decimal places. I know that I can format up to 30 decimal places. (This is not a formatting question.) Is 30 the default or are the decimal places infinite? I am uploading a file to a database and want to set the field length on the database to the maximum possible decimal places as long as its not infinite.

I only require the figures to be accurate to within 2 decimal places, and on my actual sheet, it is set to view at 2 decimal places, however the formula is calculating to much further on, as you can see in the attached example.

2005年12月14日 · I would like to have a pop up box alert the user when a cell is found in that range that contains more than 3 decimal places. For example if the numbers in a range are 50.35, 25.2, 35.235, and 35, the macro would stop on that cell and deliver a pop up box showing me that it contains more than 3 decimal places.

Re: Excel 2016 - Changing the number of decimal places displayed in trendline equations Good job sorting it out. If you goal is to get the parameters of the regression more accurately so you can use them elsewhere in the workbook, you could probably use LINEST instead.
