Ive probably done more flying from inside of my car than not. It’s the way to go in the winter, no doubt. I have a few DJI drones alongside my FPV kwads and haven’t really experienced noticeable signal degradation, but I’m also usually only doing close range freestyle.

Track specific car: you are looking at a machine-vision based system, capable of autonomously identifying car number plates, car colour, car type, etc. A computer system capable of doing that is a. expensive, and b. very difficult to code. Just this bit is enough for like a couple of thesis. Then you need to do obstacle avoidance.

Heat wrap doesn’t affect exhaust drone, not how that works. You basically need to retune the helmholtz resonator and maybe adjust their position on the exhaust. Get a decent mic and figure out what frequencies the drone is happening at to fix it.
