Even if you have such a telephone line, you also need a fax modem (this is NOT the same as a cable modem or DSL modem). Your multifunction printer has a fax modem built into it.

I simply scanned the fax message into a word document and used the fax wizard to send off the fax. I wish to do a similar thing in windows 7 fax and scan but I always end up with attachments which I do not understand.

2018年9月26日 · The Area Code Dialing Rules, from Phone and Modem in Control pane, are ignored as the fax server only receives the xxx-xxx-xxxx without the +1 in front as the Windows 7 P stations send. The dialing rules are identical on all stations and when a long distance number is dialed manually on the Windows 10 it works fine.

2010年7月27日 · Vista and Windows 7 PCs see the Fax Server, but all faxes just stay in Windows Fax & Scan inbox as Pending. I also see in Tools/Fax Settings that the Device Name is missing and the option to select is greyed out. I have deleted the fax server from Fax accounts, then created a new fax so that it goes through the wizard but still no go.
