FedEx Express Supplies - Packing | FedEx
Properly packaged clinical-sample shipments smaller than 7" x 4" x 2" must be shipped in an overwrap such as the FedEx Small Clinical Pak or the FedEx Large Clinical Pak.
To order the FedEx Clinical Pak, call 1.800.GoFedEx 1.800.463.3339. FedEx offers five cold shipping boxes as part of the FedEx Temp-Assure® portfolio of products for purchase. These boxes can be used as outer packaging to ship temperature-sensitive clinical samples via FedEx Express services.
Follow these instructions for packaging, marking and labeling clinical samples for shipment via FedEx Express® services.
The FedEx Clinical Pak is an overwrap primarily designed for easy identification and to handle smaller completed packages. The FedEx Clinical Pak can only be used to ship clinical samples.

The FedEx® Small Clinical Pak (inventory # 150948) measures 14” x 9” and is suitable for shipping single and smaller sized test specimens. The FedEx® Large Clinical Pak (inventory # 135629) measures 19” x 14” and is more appropriate for multiple and larger specimen shipments.
Shipments marked or labeled 6.2 (infectious materials) and/or containing dry ice cannot be shipped inside the FedEx® Clinical Pak. Consult the Occupational Safety and Health Administration...
